Scrapbook pages

This is a page I did of my little girl dressed up in grandma's clothes. She looked so grown up!
Time goes so quickly.........................I am so thankful for my children!
This was at Holiday world on a ride that there is no way I would go on. This is of my husband and friends from church. I used chipboard on this page which is another thing that I just love!
I did 3 more pages tonight! Lisa and I talk on the phone and scrapbook together alot of times. It makes it more fun and that's what we did tonight. What a cool friend!
I feel like a beginner scrapbooker again. My pages seem so plain. Maybe it's because I'm doing pages that I'm not really into???? I just don't know!
It is entirely too late for me to still be up so I better go for now! My Jan. 28th post turned into Jan. 29th. lol Later~

Catching Up

I sure am behind when it comes to blogging. I have been so sick. Dear hubby shared his bug with Christopher and I and it just keeps hanging around. Christopher missed 3 days of school but thankfully, Brooke hasn't caught it yet. I did get to scrapbook some! Darlene came over one day and I did 10 pages. The next day Lisa came over and while the kids had a great time together we got to scrapbook and just enjoy each other's company. But.......I had to get out to go to the post office and pick Brooke up from Girl Scouts and I think a got a back set of my sickness! I need to go to the grocery and do some shopping so bad. Hopefully, this next week I can. I think I'm getting better today!!!! I hope! Poor Chris has cooked dinner two days in a row now!

I'm gonna try to put a couple of the scrapbook pages up that I did this past week. Lisa got me started into stitching on my pages. I was NOT going to do that, but then she found the cutest swirl patterns and showed them to me! The rest is history! Here is what each individual pattern looks like and the packaging in case you'd want to buy some. :-)
I got mine at Ally Scraps. AllyScraps.com

I will go for now and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Sharing some pictures

Here are the letters I did for my sons bedroom. They are done with a guitar theme as that is his passion!!! He has 5 guitars now. I will not try to explain them all but I do know that 2 are acoustic, 2 are electric, and one is a bass. I took some close ups so maybe I'll try to post them.

I also did my daughters which is so different! She is ALL girl and it's in the Princess theme with lots of pink and lavendar!

I enjoyed doing these and plan to do some for my scrap area when I get it completed. I have only done 1 scrapbook page this year and I want to feel like scrapping so bad. I do think I feel just a little better today, and even tho it's just a little, I'll take it! :-)

One of those days

I sure don't have anything exciting to report today! :-) I'm still not feeling well and I'm starting to get frustrated! Last night a friend brought supper to us, that was a nice thing.
I want to scrapbook sooooooo bad! If I just felt good enough to do that it would help me through the day!
I don't really think many people will read my blog and I think I'm basically doing it for me! It's an outlet and I love learning things on the computer. I'll probably post scrapbook pages, projects, and perhaps pics of my house as it gets remodeled. For today..................It'll just be this little ramble!
Have a great day!

A Tribute to a Friend

This is my first time blogging so bear with me as I fumble through these first few times! :-)

I do have a story to tell about "True Friendship"!

I have a friend that I have been friends with since kindergarten. That in itself speaks well of her! lol We talk several times a week but there are times that life gets in the way and we may not get together for weeks at a time. It doesn't matter, things don't change! (Lisa is on the left)

Anyway, at Christmas time (when EVERYONE is busy) I was getting stressed because I had so much to do so she tells her mother-in-law she's "going to help her friend" When her hubby got home here she came and helped me wrap lots of presents. While we were talking she found out that I had a few more things to buy so............My hubby gets Brooke (our daughter) to bed and we head out. Now mind you, I thought she had shopping to do, too! Nope, not where I needed to go, so she drove me to town and took me to finish up my list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was close to midnight when we got home but I so enjoyed the time with her!

Fast Forward to Jan. 15.....................................I have health problems that sometimes put me flat of my back and I'm unable to get things done. Things have been pretty rough for a couple weeks now. Meds weren't helping, etc. So she came over last night and dusted, not just a swipe but taking everything off, dusting the furniture, and then each piece as she put it back. In my house, that is ALOT! I love country and miniatures! Then she helped me straighten the house, bringing things to me so I could go thru and sort, helped me fold laundry and put it away, etc.

Her daughter helped my Brooke straighten her room, her son swept around our wood stove, and then they both helped my son stack lots of wood on the back deck! In super cold weather!

THAT is a true friend! I am truly blessed and I thank God for such an awesome friend!

"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" (Phil. 1:3)
To the left is just a sample of my dusting!!!!
